Here is a story from Red Dog about my brother and Duane's slides:
"Brother Twiggs and the Slides"

During an early gig in New York, the Road Manager at the time, Twiggs Lyndon went down to New Jersey on a side trip to the Coricidin factory.

Trying to dig up a few bottles Duane could use for slide, Twiggs met with the president of Coricidin. Twiggs explained Duane's use of the bottles to play what was fast becoming a magical, significant, and often heralded as one of the sweetest slide guitar tones ever.

The president of Coricidin was just bowled over when Twiggs told him our current method of acquiring the slides. Going to drug stores, buying new bottles of Coricidin cold medicine, then tossing the pills aside to render the perfect slide for Duane.

When Twiggs laid the story on him, the guy just freaked. He thought that was the greatest thing since white on rice, so he told Twiggs "here's a case," "When you run low give me a call." The guy gave Twiggs a whole case of empty Coricidin bottles just for our use and Duane's great slide guitar.
